Plumbing problems don't wait - neither do we!
Cold showers wake you up fast, but not in a good way. When your water heater quits, everything in your house that needs hot water stops working right. Showers, dishes, laundry… all of it depends on that tank in your basement doing its job.
We install and repair water heaters all over Holmen and the surrounding areas. Most tanks last 10 to 12 years before they need replacing. If yours is getting up there in age and starting to act up, you’re probably looking at a replacement soon rather than throwing money at repairs.
Rusty water coming out of your hot taps means the inside of your tank is corroding. Once that starts, you can’t stop it. The tank will eventually leak, and when it does, you’ll have 40 or 50 gallons of water all over your basement floor.
Strange noises such as popping, banging, rumbling usually mean sediment has built up at the bottom of the tank. That sediment makes your heater work harder and wear out faster. Sometimes we can flush it out, but if it’s been going on for years, the damage is already done.
Not enough hot water is another red flag. Maybe the lower heating element burned out, or the tank is half full of sediment and there’s not enough room for hot water anymore.
We install gas, electric, and hybrid water heaters depending on what your house is set up for and what makes sense for your budget. Installation takes us half a day usually. We pull out the old tank, install the new one, connect everything properly, and make sure it’s heating water like it should.
If your water heater is under eight years old, repairs might make sense. Thermostats and heating elements are cheap to replace.
